Final tally for donations to the Wounded Warrior Project is $1,556!!!!!

This was a group effort, with Kristin McIntyre working the crowd at both the pre-parking lot party and at the parking lot party itself, along with ...I’m sorry, I forgot her name, but the flamingo lady from the San Diego club… as well as our own Mette (and Dan) selling lanyards, wrist bands and cheeseburger tickets this was well above expectations.

What can we say about Jerry… displaying such flexibility to deal with the uncertainty of parking lot opening times, a venue that apparently has no idea how to manage traffic (be it autos or humans!) and trusting our makeshift ‘stage’ to give an over the top performance J  We certainly appreciated your plugs for OCPHC as well.  We had, by all accounts, the largest crowd in the parking lot, and we owe that all to you.

A.J. worked the grill pretty much the whole time…hope Stacy had an opportunity to wander the parking lot a bit to get the full appreciation for her first parking lot party!

Mark…thanks for designing and producing great upcoming event ‘bookmarks’ and November phlocking information cards.

Dan…being ticket czar is one of those thankless jobs, but you did an awesome job.

Thanks to Kelly for taking care of the balloons for us, and to my friend Sylvia for inflating myriad Corona bottles, beach balls and the like.

Kathy Dimeo was also always there to lend a helping hand when needed.

Tom Welles and Jeff Stephens came through with the jerry-rigged (no pun intended…or maybe there is) solution for the stage.

Last but not least there was Debi, working tirelessly to make the event happen…hats off my friend, and can’t wait to hear the report on how many names we have on our membership interest list!  Guess there really is something to this social media ‘thing’…Debi posted the event on facebook, and we had probably 10 rv’s and a host of cars at our pre-parking lot party…including folks from Washington and Texas, as well as Jimmy Groovy and his entourage…

Oh, speaking of Jimmy Groovy, he donated a signed guitar for us to auction at our November Phlocking…and he has indicated that he’ll be on hand for the auction.  Thanks Arye for arranging for that!

I’m sure there are countless others I’ve forgotten to mention, and to them I apologize but give my heartfelt thanks for a job well done.  Kudos, team,  on $1,556 and lots of happy Parrot Heads JJJ

 Phins Up!
